Baldwin Pearson & Company, Inc., is a family owned and operated business founded in 1953 with offices in Bridgeport, Connecticut. A Connecticut Corporation, the firm was founded in 1953 by J. Baldwin Pearson. George Shawah, Sr. joined the firm in 1954 as an industrial broker and appraiser. We have always been a small company that specialized in the sale, leasing, managing and appraising of industrial and commercial real estate in the Greater Bridgeport area. As a tenant representative, we will go to another part of the state for a special requirement.
Our last management account was the former Singer Complex or 550,000 square feet of which we managed for more than 20 years. We have been out of the management business for some time now, but would not hesitate to take on another property if it was in our immediate market area.
My father, George M. Shawah, Sr, had been a member of the Society of Industrial Realtors (SIOR) and The Appraisal Institute since 1968.
I, George M. Shawah, Jr, joined the firm in 1982 upon graduation from college. I have worked as a commercial/industrial broker and appraiser since that time. Our brokerage business includes the sales and leasing of industrial and commercial properties for users and investors. Our firm is one of the few remaining industrial brokerage firms in Bridgeport.
I obtained my MAI designation of the Appraisal Institute in 2002. My clients over the years include local banks, attorneys, developers, and a wide range of industrial and commercial owners who need our services for brokerage, financing, tax appeals, litigation, and acquisitions.
In 2007, my brother Robert joined the firm as a commercial/industrial salesman. He is a full time salesman specializing in industrial sales and leasing with some office space and investment properties. We belong to the Greater Bridgeport Board of Realtors and C.M.L.S.
Our more than 55 years of experience in the Greater Bridgeport marketplace is our greatest asset.
With our experience comes unmatched, personal service.
